In My Mailbox is a weekly feature hosted by The Story Siren for us to share the books that have come our way recently.
I acquired quite a few books this week… the pressure is really on to get through the library holds, since I cannot renew most of them!
The Library:
Partials by Dan Wells
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer
Matched by Ally Condie (audiobook read by Kate Simses)
Amazon:
On the Island by Tracey Garvis Graves
Used Book Store:
1984 by George Orwell
The Road by Cormac McCarthy
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
Great choices, Elizabeth! I’m excited to read your thoughts about Partials. It’s probably obvious but The Road is horribly depressing so just be forewarned!
I am looking forward to Partials, too… think I’ll start it this evening! The Road is one of those books that I feel I need to read, even though I am not totally keen on it. I have a huge stack of those on my shelves waiting for a moment in which I feel serious enough to tackle them!
It’s absolutely worth the read. Just make sure you have something cheerful to do after you read it!
Great mailbox! I want to watch the movie of Extreme Loud and Incredibly Close soon. Enjoy your new books;)

I wanted to read the book before all the hype of the movie got going, but I haven’t heard much of anything about the movie. Hopefully the book will be good at least!
