March 2014 Roundup

March was a way better reading month for me than February (when I only finished 2 books), but my blogging is probably going to take a hit in the next month or two because I’ve suddenly become incredibly busy at work and well, by the time I get home, I just don’t want to sit in front of my computer any more.  So we’ll see.  I will do my best to keep up, but life comes before the blog.

One thing I have been struggling with is content outside of reviews.  I rarely have the inspiration for them and I write best when I have something to actually say.  I do best with blogging when I’m not forcing it, so non-reviews will probably continue to be sporadic in nature.

Not forcing it is kind of a theme for this month.  I found myself forcing a couple of books I really wasn’t in the mood for and well, that isn’t the best way to read.  So… I am sort of on a chick lit kick at the moment and I’m just going to go with it for as long as it lasts.

Books Read:

Somebody to Love by Kristan Higgins

It Felt Like a Kiss  by Sarra Manning

How to Be a Good Wife by Emma Chapman

Plainsong by Kent Haruf

Seeing Me Naked by Liza Palmer

In the Works: I’m in between books at the moment.  I think maybe I will be reading Where She Went sometime this month, but I am definitely nervous to start that one as If I Stay was kind of meh for me (but I have been promised this is leagues better and I do actually own it so yeah, probably not a bad idea to try it.)

April promises to be busy, but I am looking forward to the beautiful weather.  Work should remain busy.  My sister is getting married.  Baseball is back and I will be trying to keep up with the games and gossip.  I have been really good at getting to yoga twice a week and hope to keep that up in spite of everything else.  And life with a one year old is never dull.

How was your March?  What’s new in your reading/blogging life?
